Hey, everyone. Welcome to. What are you watching? I'm Alex with her, and I'm joined by my best man, Nick, though. So how are you doing there? War, child. Back off. War, child. Seriously? Same here. Definitely, definitely, definitely. This is fun. This is just pure fun. That's why we wanted to do this point. Break is both of one of our favorite action movies ever. If it's like right up there. Just perfect nineties action. My favorite Keanu, my favorite Swayze. Tell me about Point Break. I mean, we've talked about this movie for a long time. It is one of our favorite action movies is one of our favorite movies growing up. Yes. Yes. And this movie holds up to this day. It is now over 30 years old, which is like fucking depressing, but it still holds up. It still absolutely moves. There's stuff in it. We're watching it and going like these. This chase scene is one of my favorite chase scenes ever. Like, they're so good. All the action scenes are so good, so well shot. And then, moreover, it's just a hell of a damn fun movie That's, you know, that's the long and short of it. They're a ride, that wave. If you want to have even more fun with. There's a drinking game. Every time Johnny Utah says shit or definitely take a drink. Does he say shit a lot? Oh, my God, we didn't. Why didn't we talk about shit? Because we're watching. Because it started definitely after I already said by Ari. Notice how many times he says shit. Give me that shit. What's a shit? Like, give me one example of his every like, shit. Oh, okay. Yeah. Shit. Damn. So it was definitely we we clocked like there's like a good seven or eight in there, like, and there's one that's back to back. So that's, so that's, that's okay for a drinking game like throughout the whole time. But if there's, I mean shit I wasn't even track and shit. Oh shit. Was that even when they get caught, when, when they realized that the Tom Sizemore part. Right. He's like shit. And definitely when he wakes up, I'm sure, like, I'm telling you, you're right. Okay, great. Have a great time. We should have done that. Actually, no, because that would have been we would have made it to the end. I was doing that. That explains a lot, actually. Enjoy listening to that Would folks point break we love it. Definitely in 3 to 1. Well, we've done a lot of podcasts, but I don't think I've ever been more excited than I am right now. It's very true. It's very true. It's weird that we picked the remake, though. I know the cover. Yeah, you know what I mean? So this is some of the good remakes that are that I refuse to watch that film. I will never watch it. No. Today we are doing a live commentary on Kathryn Bigelow's 1991 masterpiece, Point Break. A movie that is so near and dear to my heart has been since whenever the VHS dropped in late 91 or early 92 and it was just on repeat. This is on TV all the time as a kid, like all the time. Definitely one of the movies I've seen the most in my life, and this is like if we're talking about like, what's your favorite just entertaining movie action movie, Just something that you like to put on a go to movie. This is right up there for me. It really is. Yeah, 100%. A great top three. Yeah. I mean, this is like I will admit right now from the outset that this is not a quote unquote perfect film in terms of just whatever that means. But I would literally, if I was writing a review of this critically like critical analysis, I would give this movie an A-plus. And I'm not even kidding because it's still working. It still hits. Yeah, a movie like this, I'm not striving for like, everything needs linear. He is Johnny fucking you, two of which was the original one of the original titles of the film. Oh, was it really? Yeah. This is going to be John. I'm glad. I'm glad it wasn't. Yeah, that would've been a bad call. It doesn't bring in the surfing aspect. Yes, Keanu got a lot. So this is the only commentary we've done that I absolutely know every single line of dialog too. I know we might get mad with this one because we're just going to do them and we're going to do them in our best. Keanu impressions, you know, some commentaries. It's like for we get deep into trivia and look at the shot, look at this, we'll do a little that, but we're just having fun here. This is just fun. This I remember they did this thing in L.A. I'm not sure if they still do it anymore, but it's point break live. Yeah. Yeah. I wish I could have gone that they what you do is like it's just a live performance of the whole entire movie onstage at point break, But they pull out someone from the audience and they have them do their best. Keanu Reeves impression. And then by applause, that person gets voted to be the key. The Johnny Utah character for the whole entire play. And that's a tall order. And they have a person who you don't have to do anything until someone gives you a cue card. Oh, okay. Just say whatever that line is in here. And especially with even you cross the stage, right? Like they'll do all these things and they're like, act like you're act like you're flying now, Keanu, you act like you're fly and you see the actor. It is like the person on stage is like, Oh, it's it's great. All the other actors do a great job of like supporting and making the show move. My mom had sunscreen dumped all over her, went, Oh, let's class it. Yeah, it was. It's a lot of fun. This is all one shot. This movie doesn't get enough credit for how technically brilliant it is. The action scenes are so well shot, but this is all one take right here going into the FBI office. And we saw executive producer James Cameron there. They were together during the they were married, Kathryn Bigelow and James Cameron during the development of this movie. He's responsible. He helped a lot on the script with her and kind of shaped it up. I think that influences here. Here we go, John Steven Yeah, just totally him and up this role of this FBI stiff tightwad. So I take the skin off chicken. Yeah, but seriously, this is like a long take for a 91. It never feels like it either, because we're constantly moving and we're going to go really like, wide here to take in this whole room. So results look good, man picks up the donut. I love how they bring up all he brings up all the information, but yet they've got Jake Busey or not Gary Busey. Yeah. Is Pappas. Angelo, Angelo, Pappas. He's the one of the bosses of it all. Look at this damn bank robbery unit Is it still is big in Italy. Like, look, look at all these damn people. Oh, yeah. It's even bigger, man. Well, I don't know. Look, we're just moving in and out here. Yeah, So I can't say enough good things about this. This is just one of my, like, favorite movies ever. Now we're going to cut finally is. Yeah, real live special. There's a on line classic. All right. We should just get it out of the way. Now, let's talk about Keanu and let's talk about what he means as an actor. Why do we need to talk about that on the podcast, too? We have to address it. We're talking about point break. Yeah, I know what I'm seeing in the scheme of this is my favorite action. Entertaining Keanu. He can also go dramatic as he did the same year with my private Idaho. This is it's a no brainer that Johnny Utah is my favorite with respect to John Wick, to Neo, to everything else. It's just a no brainer. So John, Utah is your number one Keanu movie? Absolutely. I mean, I love Scared. I love Speed as well. Like, yeah, I but it's just a no brainer. It's my favorite Swayze, my favorite Busey. I love Keanu Reeves. Yeah, he's I love him for everything that he brings to a movie in terms of whether it's good or it's bad, however you want to classify it. I think he's you just can't take your eyes off of him. I mean, I feel like it's crazy. Like, I remember there was one time I was in this one acting class and this one teacher was talking about Keanu Reeves, and they were like, He's so simple. It it almost doesn't even matter if he's good or bad because he's just he's like, transparent. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, he is he's a great into it for the audience. Punk or punk is their introduction. Right away. We're like, Oh, we're going fool Busey with this performance. Oh, great way to introduce us to the ex-presidents. Last those NIPS launches right into an armed robbery. So perfect. Their movement is like it's so smooth. Rock and roll. Never go for the safe, only go for the cash drawers. All the robberies in this movie are so well done. This kind of looks like the last one as well, which is obviously a big one. Thank you. I got an earwax problem. Okay. Yeah. Too much buildup. I have to clean them more than usual. Good to know. I'm saying, people, I don't think the people can be earwax just about things. I don't think anyone cares, though. Yeah, yeah, yeah. The writing at the store. You're going where you're going with the waves or. Thank you. Very smart, very tactical in not taking the bills on the bottom. This is one of those cases where the time period is just the you can't beat what the early nineties were. Yeah. This is so early nineties. It's just a perfect encapsulation of it. Yeah. This movie it's a little thing played for humor that is kind of the end of them the little mooning there how Johnny Utah figures it all out. This is one of my favorite like leaps that any movie ever makes is Pappas. When his whole entire theory is base that they're surfers because of the no tan line and well, in the wax. Because it's the wax. Yeah. He scuffed the counter and it was sex wax. But yeah, it's just, you know, that's his great theory. The ex-presidents are surfers. Caligula that fog they use in this it's so nineties like all the fog in the room here too for like no reason not to smoke on set Love it. These two were just fucking great together. They really are quarterback punk like a version of Romney when air got dirty and sex got clean shit that comes out of his mouth. It's like, how much of that was him? I mean, Utah. Give me two. That was all him. I think it's one of my most used quotes. Oh, yeah, Never. And then these two goons coming in, there's always like in these, there's always issues like bad boys has to They had that. Yeah. That one is that one's the best because that's cold. Yeah. So it was him. I was like what's very guys? You want a couple of great sodas? Yeah. And McKinley. I mean, I do never, like, fails. He's. No, he's exactly. He just always delivers. Yeah. Because he's all piss patties on such a night is that you say what a hard on. I remember I saw this movie at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery and this was an example of everyone laughing at the movie, noticing this scene. Yeah. When he flips out and flips out. Yeah, you're like, Oh, they get trapped. Okay, so it's like your funny face. You mad? Yeah, you're mad. It's good. Yeah. It's so over-the-top. It's just great. But he has to. He has to break him. Tell me this theory. Yours. Let's go catch these guys. Yeah, It's a great, great overlook of L.A.. Oh, yeah. The Shining. The way it's lit. She knows how to make a movie, and she always has from the beginning of her career. That's what my favorite. That sex got clean, believe it. Or low, Johnny, we're not going down that road. Yeah, we're not going. We're not going to try to catch these guys like the best bank robbers in L.A.. Like, just leave it all to sleep. It's never going to happen. We're just going to let him keep going. Watch it. Watch it. Oh, yeah. Keanu watch his grave. It's. He's. Oh, I got to the puppet zits on your funny face. He saves that from again. I got that wrong in the end because he can get mad in the box. It's all to get a riled up hot shot. Definitely. Yeah. I mean, it's a good theory. It's good detective work. Scuff, mark, wax. What a great way to just get us into this plot. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You get a good look at this tan line because they're very freaky, obviously. Have. Are you Paris? Not yet. Yeah. I'm Nixon. Yeah. They refer mother mask names. Also point out the fact that the very first fast and the Furious movie is just it's just a fleet. It's a ten year later complete rip off of this except with surfing it is now cars a car. It's the exact same thing. Exactly what it is. And no disrespect to that movie. I like the first one first. It's not bad, but I. I remember when it came out and like, no one responsible for that movie was saying this is something that still happens today. And we're like, wait a minute, this already happened ten years earlier. Yeah, come on. There's nothing there's nothing new about this. Like the car chase. It's cool. All the car, all super. Right. That's cool. But that's the only new part of it. We've seen this story before. It's like beat for beat. It really is like, it really, really is. But okay, it it's been a hell of a first date. Yeah. And Crone is Chinese that and the hell are they going to go home You fucking who take it Who. Shots for the bottle of Jack Utah So the crowd is path is just down and out. This is great. Jumping on the table, going where the waves are. The part. Busey. Busey. God, I just love him. I just watched Thunderbolt and Lightfoot. You got nominated for an Oscar for the Buddy Holly Story. People forget that this kid's great because I'm 25. I feel like that's a kid. This is like Devon Sawa or something. No, it's not him. But he was in, like, a few movies at the time. Little Giants of the Dinosaur wall, right? Yeah, I think so. I mean, one of those ones. But he was in, like a few L.A. set movies. Ex Stone, x2, PepsiCo. It's either me or you out there on the board. Catch my drift? How hard could it be? Great editing. Cut. How hard could it be? You always want to try to answer a question with an editing cut. So how hard could it be that you don't need to have any more fat on it? Like what is Reed's is going to say back? Well, I don't know. It looks kind of difficult. You hard cut to it looking and being very difficult Always try to answer a question with a cut. But that's how hard that board board such a piece of shit if you ever tried to surf. No, I. No, because I tried to skateboard when I was younger. Had a lot of friends who were really serious in skateboarding. My brother was like crazy in the skateboarding and I did not have the hand-eye coordination for it was never really good at snowboarding. I mean, two feet, same two feet planted on the ground, the hard ground, you know, or hard firm boxing ring. I'm better that I'm better at running stuff like that. And now I find watching professional surfers, especially in person, absolutely exhilarating. Have you have you ever tried? Oh, God, no. No, I know. I know myself well enough. I am here. It's just I'm not going to survive that. Yeah. I mean, you can get your ass kicked a lot. Patrick Swayze, You broke ribs filming this because he wanted to do a lot of his own stunts. Yeah, It's a very, very dangerous thing to go out, like in these huge waves like he's doing in attempted. You could. Yeah, you could definitely get knocked up. But. No, sorry. Go ahead. I was going to I was going to say, here she is. Here she is to our our great Lori Petty, the great Lori Petty, a staple of the nineties queen of the night. Well, now she's not the queen. She was one, but she was the only one. Yes. Yep. If you're a fan of nineties. Yeah. Lori Petty was someone that you you you know very well God damn right. Yeah. Names you know who cares Johnny Utah. Well, that that's his excuse for it. Now he goes, My name is Utah. He says, But I'm Johnny Utah. Does he. Yeah. Oh yeah. I think he goes, My name's Johnny Utah. Not because I'm Johnny Utah. He's like, I think it's okay. Let's hear. They say some other point. I feel like he says it. The Johnny Utah nice hasn't become a thing yet. I mean we've heard like quarterback punk but it's kind of cool when like, you know, they recognize him during the pickup football game, like, oh, you know, this is Ben Oh my God. And mean get in your face. But I don't think he ever uses it as like a hard excuse, at least toward her. But I love it. He's like, okay, it's going to be my end. She's not robbing the bank. But see, this is reminds me like, right now, like this, this thing that she's wearing, the music like this just reminds me of, like, nineties. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. The whole damn movie was point break And then she did a league of their own Free Willy Poetic justice in the army. Now, Tank girl, it was a solid run. It was a really solid run And then I missed this time period Show my age nostalgia, baby. Nostalgia Yeah the thing But now she fits into this so well. Apparently she didn't even know how to swim before filming this movie. Wow. Yeah. So she can go. Never been on a surfboard. Swayze He had like, a little bit, but he was an expert at it. And she never even, like, been in the water, ever been in the ocean. I love holding at the height. Yeah, she's great. Definitely. Definitely. Whoa, whoa, whoa. It still does Scar. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I can use this. I can manipulate her, which lead to sex without ever telling you the truth. I mean, these movies and their. Their politically incorrect stances on these things, these things don't hold up now, today. But, you know, we're here for the entertainment value here. Look like excited by this. That could work. It's definitely it's a Johnny, Utah staple. Oh, like, you know, everybody just goes in here and just like, lays out this whole entire story. Yeah, he's been cooking it up, but it's kind of cool. The dialog. We see that, like, this is his first time coming here, but I loved his how like over it she is with him. Yeah. To go like hanging around here. Look at those hours and that tight shirt. It's the man punk quarterback. Punk. Yeah. So he's like been, you know, he's been coming around a little bit. It's great. Go. It's great. I look, he's been waiting for his and to drop the my parents are deadline to get a detective their FBI agent he does stand also kind of funny think that he is only supposed to be 25 and this which is extremely young just for like a human being it's just funny that's so of you to give her the business. That's really who starts out saying that. No, I mean, he's been practicing this. She's got to nail this in one take. He can't break. Here comes the acting. This is Johnny, Utah, actor. He's undercover, baby. Deep, deep, undercover. I mean, he sells it well. It's really good, you know, emotional manipulation. Yeah, that's all this is. That's all it is. Do you think you could get away with this these days? No, that's what I just said. These are the things that probably don't hold up by today's standards. Yeah, the this type of manipulation, But we're here for the entertainment value. Well, yes, but I'm saying, even if you were doing it today in a movie, do you think it could still be done if the purpose was to be exploitive in that way? Do you think he could pull off this sort of grift? Is that what you mean? No, no, no, no. Like if a movie was to put this into their script, like, okay, this character's going to manipulate this person some exact same thing, right? Both parents to season a parked car crash. Do you think that today you could let it go? Would let it just being or would you have to then say, no, I'm going to emotionally manipulate her by using this? I mean, yeah, you'd have to add in something, especially if it leads to sex, because this is emotional manipulation, like he is lying to her and they end up, you know, hooking up. And that is not cool. Yeah, it's by any standards, but people talk about these things more nowadays. 1991, it wasn't you know, there's making an action movie, best goddamn action movie. That's good. You Surfin Surfing. I love this teaching. It's so good. The people walking by laughing at them. It's just a great little bit that it's a wrap on that line here. This movie did come close to being made in 1986, 87. There were a lot of different people in the air. Four old Johnny Utah, Matthew Broderick. Johnny Depp was probably the biggest name that was thrown around. Val Kilmer, Charlie Sheen. I mean, he does pick it up pretty quickly. You got to give it to him always. Johnny, Utah. Yeah, just he's going to pick it up. Yeah. He's a quick study. Great athlete. Yeah, but I mean, this is going to lead to shortly here. Just one of the great intros, character intros, Swayze coming up behind her, sneaking up on her. God, I love it. I always whenever Patrick Swayze comes on, I always like to refer to him as our good friend Dan. Always like preferred. Is Patrick Swayze in this movie as the ultimate man? The ultimate man. You've got to be willing to achieve the ultimate to get the ultimate prize. Mustafa is a man with a very specific code, and you could say, you know, he's like this Buddhist, but go around robbing banks, killing people of these two. And he's absolutely perfect. Oh, God, he's so perfect. He's his his run is really iconic. Oh, God. It's one of my favorites. Always been a huge fan of his. But this is. Yeah, definitely my favorite Swazi. Yeah, this is mine too. He is He is always, no matter what his role was, he was always really good and potentially something that wouldn't be very iconic. Sure, he could turn into that. Mm hmm. Like Roadhouse. There's no business working. You know, It's worked because of him. Because of him? Yeah, because he's so in. And this wouldn't work. It certainly not as well as. Well, it's lightning in a bottle with these two. You really found them both just right at the right time? Yeah. The music, the queues up. Yes. All this is. I mean. Oh, my God. So he was definitely a quick study if he was kind of if he wasn't that good reason for filming. Yeah, they're on it Should also say he does all his own skydiving in the film, which is nuts. That's crazy. Yeah. I read something like you did 55 jumps just for this movie. Like, that's insane. Wow. Yeah, He's not savage. He is the ultimate ride, But it's just, you know, there's these different layers, like, because we don't know that she knows him well yet. And it's, you know, when he's sneaking up on her. I love that there. Oh, yes. Never bad time. Slow things down. First pick up football. Throw the pigskin. Yeah. Good. Get out, man. Forget that Anthony Kiedis is going to be in this. Yes, he is. Briefly. Briefly. Because he wouldn't show up to rehearsals. So they were like, we're going to take you up first. He was doing some things, Put me down. Here's one of my favorite all time screams in all of movie history, though, when he gets shot. Yeah. Oh, my God. You feel that? Yeah. I love that little reference to Dirty Dancing. I think that's what he drives in it. But MJ, it's sort of like quiet talking. Yeah. Nice get. Oh, good catch again. Answering it. That's a bit of a question. And then we answer it with a cat. We answer it with a cut. Not here. You want to play, don't we just go right to it? Yep. Is dudes take this game seriously. Oh, this is awesome though. I mean, so mad and mean. Get in your face. But just the way like he runs him down into the fucking water. It's great. I just love that you just got the car headlights. Oh, yeah. All of these guys just play football on the beach. They know this is where Johnny, Utah. Yeah. It feels very authentic. Yeah. Down here. Mix it up. Love it. I that hair. God is there. Oh, yeah. She even gets a touchdown in there, man. I wish I was good at things like this. Still time? No, there's no no. It's done for me. Brother, Brother, look at this. You love that tackle. I mean, playing like pickup football. People are taking it this damn seriously. I mean, they're doing, like, real tackles and. Oh, yeah, I mean, no reason. You know, look at this. Boom. Make it about I'm coming. Taking this guy. And where the hell is the line here like that? Oh, it's bound to be. He's just hit bunch and he's probably two guys this shit. It like, how did we get all the way out there? Hey, man, I was way out of line. We're like, we had a line. Oh, this test Positive. But look at the percent. Well, yeah, you know, so our man, I mean, get in your face. But then look how impressed Lori Petty is. You. You did this? Yeah. Then now it was like, Oh, no, You're like, Oh, you're cool, man. You. And that was game. Johnny telling me to get in your face nuked. Oof! Oh, for the Replacements, You know what I'm saying? What? His knee or just his football skills? Yeah, Yeah, sure. You never knew. Didn't even had air. Didn't anyone have anything better to do that day? That's a great movie, too. It's just fun. He took a pay cut on that so that Gene Hackman could be hired. It's because he here's the fucking. Yeah, he is. He absolutely is. So this is your favorite Keanu of all time? Yeah. I mean, this is my favorite movie he's in. I love him. I love. I love Keanu Reeves. Don't get me wrong, but I just have such a respect, high amount of respect and appreciation for this movie. And yes, you bother me. The rolled up sleeves is so damn badass. I love them in Platoon. You know, they got a bad feeling about this one. The bad feeling? Oh, my God. He's just so. He's always so keyed up in this squad. What a great exact presence or bank. Robin Keller. It's like they can take banks down. That better than the Heat crew. I can't. It hurts, too. Yeah. Why did you break it in there? Yeah, I know. I love it. Yeah. This is your limo idea. Exactly. Opens the door to the surfboard. Great. Touch. Now they're getting down to the hair like they're really getting down in there. But it'd. We get some great nineties character actors when they're out there, like stealing hair on the beach to some of those people you only saw in nineties movies. It's great that they'll take this so seriously, like how they're tracking it it's like they're so let's let us scene let us watch some surfing scenes but you know I love this but it'll piss off art student Good enough for me No Man on man double high five It's doesn't look like the best place to be surfing are on the beach. No, no, there's a bit. People don't care. Yeah. Come out of the thing. No one gives a shit. I can say I can't believe that. You just go around cutting people's hair. Right? And like, you thought those two dudes could have been some of the ex-presidents. I don't know. So would bust that, bruh. Huge sucker. I mean, how many globs of hair do you think they actually got this day? Like from Saved your Life clothes? How many different, like, variations could they think of? Like, how many suckers could you get out of a guy's hair? How many people You just go up and snip snip. Oh, you got a match and worked well. Oh, there it is. Yeah, it is. Tears of the title. Oh, back off your child. Seriously iconic sequence here. And it's like a really, really well-done fight scene. Oh, yes. It kicks in how like Busey can't get to him and then Swayze's just all in, you know, all the way. There is a real thing, like people who are serious about their surfing. They you cannot, like, get on their wave. You can't see. Oh, yeah. And you can't, you can't fucking beach. Yeah, damn right. I mean, yeah, that still goes on the surface. Hui compatible paddle surfer game de Hui Yeah, whatever that means. Does the surfer gang like it'll mess with the various ones? Don't listen to it. Oh, yeah. That's the guy I love. Our war child breaks the damn surfboard. Want to get off my wave? Yeah. Big mistake. You shit. Not only does he, like, punch him in the face and he cuts his board out, it's like it's a double whammy as his first born man really meant a lot to him. Back to the valley, man. Hey, good earth politeness counts. You think that would be like a good enough tell off, though? Like, I think the dude got his point. But no, Now we're going to get my three guys and we're going to jump this dude four on one because we're really going to teach them a lesson. Yeah, Psychos. But it is a good like kind of a trick for the cops and maybe a little for us. Like, oh, could this be the guys patients? Not yet. The amount of like, artillery this gang has, you know, the whole Anthony Kiedis gang. And they pull up, pull out a fucking arsenal. Now, this is just great. Where to go? The whole staging. So, yeah, they had to rehearse this fight scene and apparently, like Anthony Kiedis never showed up or was always late. And I said, like, whoever doesn't show up, we're going to give you the least amount of time. So that's why he gets punched out first and like, taken out of the equation. Yeah, he had other things to do, you know, he was in a band. He, you know, probably other things, the other things that create tension. Build. Hmm. We're just going to fuck you up. Oh, I love this guy. There is? Yes. Yeah, It's a good staredown. Yeah, there he is. That's the guy. Yeah. I mean, Jesus, look. So it just comes in here and fucking wrecks it with this kung fu. He's throwing kicks, he's doing all sorts of shit, and then I love when it's done. He just goes, Just keep walking, Dying. Oh, yeah. Oof! Oh, strong, dude. Done. And these punches sound real? Yeah. What? They sound like all that dumb shit. Oh, damn. I mean, yeah, they're, like, trying to kill him just for messing up his wave and dinging his board. But as we know, more child doesn't fuck around. You got to love the toys. He gives them a chance, though. Back off or child. Seriously? Yeah, that's a chance. But I love the respect you see right away. For Brody, everyone else really respects him. Gets my ass series to. I love it. Thank you. Bunker knew he couldn't let it go. Yeah. I owe you a punch. Ooh. So here we go. The kicks come back about. Oh, yeah. Sam Gut punch, kick the final more child hit. You really feel that? The sound of it in the witness room. It's been stimulating, but we're out here. I love his advice. Just keep walking. Don't back. Great Save here by ABC. Oh, that stole car stereo. If you look closely, Busey makes a face like God damn. And I almost got caught. Yeah, hands off. Not see you. Hassles. That guy's name is Lupton Pittman of a broker. And it's just the nicest I know. Yeah. Illegal shit. That's not what I'm talking here. It would get radical. We're not out here for the See? Yeah, I love this. I just love the way he carries his board. He feels so authentic. Yeah, Yeah. Damn hair got combined it, and I'm having a few people over. It's like a fucking huge throwdown party. I love that fire spitters. Mm hmm. So polite. Oh, yeah. Tyler. Yeah. And now they got a good lead. Yep. These lunatics, they're a little too sloppy, I think, to get to it. Banks, You know, like in a summer, but it's a, it's a solid lead. Well, they got Bodie is their leader. No, I mean, these guys that they're for the war child crew. I think they're a little too sloppy to take down Bell. Too loud, too radical. Jesus Christ. Yeah. One of the they have mentioned being their neighbors. Oh, no, It'd be tough time to handle these. I mean. Yeah, well, a rap sheet that's like our first really great action scene is when they try to take this house and. Oh, no, this so much more so than scary. That was a really cool daytime cut there. When we come back to that coverage now, it's night. Well done. Utah's got a party to get to. Suppose these two guys again, a great cold pizza give birth to. When was the first time that you saw this? I mean, I don't I don't remember because it would have been so long ago, but it was honestly was probably on TV, like just dunk cable when I was a kid. But this was one that I mean, there's no like overt sexuality in it. So I don't know. It's it is. Ah, but, you know, as dedicated listeners of the pod will know, my parents were pretty lenient on me. So I mean, we got we had this on VHS and I was just watching it constantly by 90 to 93 all the time. I didn't know what the hell's going on for a lot of it, you know? Oh, yeah, It's when a movie's been in your life that long and you never get bored of it. I watch this damn thing all the time. Thought about you, man. I mean, it definitely was on video, but I remember my aunt and I watched this movie together. We had, like, a couple of like, we we always would watch certain types of movies together. They were bad action movies. Yeah. But like, you know, I don't mean that this is like a bad movie, but, like, I remember we would walk we watched Drop zone that Wesley Snipes mean I absolutely which was built on this movie. Yes know Gary Busey and the villain role I love drop zone We would watch movies like that We would watch like B horror movies together. Oh, yeah, like that. That was always my, like, biggest like fond memory of growing up with my aunt. And I remember this was one because, like, the funniest thing is, is like my mom and my aunt would date guys like this. Oh, yeah, you said that. And so like, like there was always this sort of, like a revolving door of my family of, like, these, like long haired metal surfing wasn't such a big thing. But yeah, same type of ages. The vibe. Yeah, just the vibe. So I always felt connected to this movie just because I was like, Oh yeah, I used to grow up with these these type of dudes all the time. Like, I know a few of them. Yeah, this is gorgeous. Is so serious. He goes, No, it's real, but look out, It's turned. It's like he's. Yeah, yeah. And he's basically just like admitting that if he has to die here, he doesn't care because you got to be there. You got to be willing to pay the ultimate price. Great to shoot through the flames like that. He's. And he's so into it. And I will be there and I will be there. Yeah, like, screw it. I'm just robbing banks to make it save time. Keep it going until whatever the. Yeah, they're all just like, whatever. This is my life. I'll go and I'll go surfing. Fine. Who cares? Yeah, Yeah. Agree. Well, that's a hand signal. That means he wants to be followed. Safe assumption. All right, We're about to come out to a trip. This sequence it like, do people do surfers actually go out for these, like, epic night surfs? Like, is. I wonder if that really is the thing because that just seems incredibly fucking dangerous to me. I mean, under like a full moon. You. I don't know, maybe your eyes would adjust kind of, but probably not. But I love it. It's such a cool sequence. So you get a feel good view. Yeah. Aren't they ever? Yep. That's moon. Oh, my God. Reminds me of, like, Lost Boys with. Yeah, yeah, like the room. Just candles. Candles everywhere. I love Lost Boys, too. I know. Sorry. One he'll take to the edge. I do think this is the movie that turn kind of like into being taken seriously. Like as a man, Like. Oh, yeah. Bill, any more, you know, from Bill Ted or. I'm not doing that. Well, I mean, I still will do stuff like that, but I also can play, like, mature adult roles. Well, he never really, after this went back to that type of thing though, like. Right. He kind of became an action guy after this. Lukas Speed, he gets to be because of this. And Speed really launches him into like because that speed was like a way bigger movie in terms of box office. Yes. And this was this actually it wasn't that big of a hit. It definitely made its money back and then some. But this one is one that got a it has like more of a cult status now than others. Other action movies at this time, speed, it's like a solid fucking action movie, you know. It's so it always has been, but it hasn't really achieved this like kind of cult status. Everyone just knows that it's solid. But yeah, I mean, Bill and Ted two, that that probably came out shortly after this. It did, yeah. Might've even been the same damn year. Honestly, It might have also been 91. Yeah, it might have been in with my own private Idaho. Like, that's a great year. It's a good year. Then Dracula. That came out like 93. 92. Yeah, two. Not as best. He still had some work to do. I It's a funky movie. This is the castle. Yeah, that's it. Yeah, exactly. No, no, not really. His best, but that's okay. We love you. We always will. It must be in the sequence until they're shooting these day for night. You know, they shot these during the day and took them. Took all the lighting out, made it look like night. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean, you, you wouldn't be able to like no insurance company would cover taking actors out and surfing like literally a night where you can't exactly where you can't see shit. Yeah, I love it. Be so serious before it's doing battle. They had a battle, but the jam pedal. Go, boy. Jam. Oh, man. This is when they share their moment. Utah's crossing over. Is he? Has it gone too deep? Will be able to take his friend down these fucking waves. If it's really night, like you could just die, so. Oh, yes. Well, you right up when you get to feel the wave and charged with absolutely. Mark Isham did the music for this. Really want to call him out? I think the best piece of music is during the skydiving sequences. Oh, it's. It's a great score. It's a really, really strong score. Not your standard, like generic action movie score, which I can never really tell them apart nowadays, you know? Yeah, it's very true. Unless Hans Zimmer is doing it. This guy, he's like this poor bastard. Well, no, he's the he's the animal. He's the one who has Laura Petty hostage. In the end, it's like he is a machine who's on. He will slit her throat if he does not hear from me. He's actually a really good actor. He's one of the leads of as the TV show. He's been in a tone story. They're still out there. Yeah. It's got to be so cold now. This could've been filmed the night. This looks like it was in a tank to me. Yeah, this looks. This looks like it's in a tank somewhere because you get the lights overhead, these lights down on them. So, yeah, this is probably a tank because there's no, like, blue bouncing off or anything. They don't need to sell that it's the ocean anymore. I think water can probably get cold. I cost a lot to heat it up, falling for each other for manipulation about to come through here. Johnny Utah feels bad though. So good. It's just it's just so good. I think that you don't. Oh, yeah, it is. It's just this is a great example of something so bad. It's good. Yeah. It's just perfect. I love it. Find love to me. No problems for me. Because part of what makes it is because, like, even like, like realistically, this moment is still earned. It doesn't matter that we took some, like, fun, like, ridiculous, like, Oh, right. Like, like ridiculous little moments that we're all laughing at. But when we get to this, it's all like, Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. That's a nice one. Yeah, that's a tank. That's a huge light up there. I think my really my favorite one is when is at the end where he's on the phone, he's like, Christ why is it always I can't see what I need? So he's trying to call to apologize. This is so funny. I mean, yeah, job to do but yeah to get war Childs house. I got to go. I'm really. But we've all been here, right, haven't we? Waking up on the beach? Yeah, sure. Yeah, I'm late. Late for work. Very relatable. Thank. It's going to leave her here. Yeah. So you were in the beach naked On the beach? Yeah. Seriously? Yeah. A nice moment of tenderness. Followed by, like, a really riveting action scene. Nice little audience manipulation there, you know? Yeah, Yeah. Keeping us on our. On the edge of our feet. Well, then get moving. I'll abuse you. Nice. You show up. Yeah. Then, you know, it's one of those things where, I mean, I've never come from the beach like that, but I've been situations where I should've late for something, and I feel like certain older people just kind of get it. They're like, Why is this young person late? Yeah, well, it is probably doing something. Something like that. Being young, being out of. Yeah, yeah, exactly. Yeah. Of that would have late to your own rate. Worthless punk. Scooby. That's the best dog we could think of. Scooby All right, here's how it is. Also, this is a really good action movie that does not rely on a lot of slow motion. We've had some during the surfing, but just in here, when they, like, throw the guns across the room, it's like, oh, I think the best use of slow motion is when you, you know, use it very sparingly, very little looking words, dog. And we cannot be the best neighborhood. I love that he's looking for his dog. He's going out in the undercover mode, but he's still, like, rocking like, like the microphone. He's still buttoning your shirt. Scooby Yeah, Yeah. He's not even fully ready to go yet. Tomorrow? No, they decide to go to their door. We're also going to get a very quick cameo at the end of the sequence from the great Tom Sizemore. No way I'm going to be Robin this big where they were at Fort Lauderdale. Oh, yeah. Nice hair. That's in. Oh, my God. That's right. Deep undercover. They just don't know that. I think he's DEA. That would be a tough assignment, living in this damn house, traveling with this crew for months. Yeah, this. This really is a very well, well done action sequence. Well, a big thing with that action, like doing it well, is geography and knowing where are. And we get like we haven't had this wide like helicopter drone shot of the house. We don't need that. You just establish establishing the angles. Okay we get that Utah is that you know one end of the house we get there because he's going in front, you know, our lawnmower. That's going to be an issue. It just it sets everything up without taking too long and without rushing it. Well, this guy's just having a conniption fit. Listening to music. Anthony Kiedis, I think he's probably drugged out. Well, yeah. Yeah, I think that's the 100% is I think that's the implication there much a hop heads. Oh cockapoo FBI lady that great slow motion porn out of fucking arsenal Can you shake the lawnmower. I got him lawnmower old school bomb or to really hack your chin up. Be careful. Oh, there is shit. Here we go. Yeah, because we're really going to see the Keanu's. Like, just great with his physicality, you know? I mean, he can really, like, throw his weight around, like, it's nothing. Yeah, The thing the violence I feel the most in this movie is this foot shot coming up. And then his chin, like millimeters away from that lawnmower. He can just feel that just in case we've said it. We said we says Anthony Kiedis for forever, who may not know that he's the lead singer of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Yeah, I mean, it's worth mentioning, it's one of your all time favorite bands. Absolutely. And they were 91 where they and their career got so 91. I don't know if Blood Sugar Sex Magic came out yet, but that was the album that turned them into like the rock star fame that they were just today. Oof! Oh, damn, she's done. I don't. Yeah, I don't know if she got hit. I would assume she was right in the way taken. Trying to take these guys on pistols is. Oh, wow. Oh, yeah. Oh, fuck. That is a fucking hand can. And that's like a damn grenade launcher. It had to be James Cameron's idea. Oh, let's let your child hold the biggest fucking gun imaginable and they take down Sizemore Watch. It's like head hits the his neck shit bad takedown and he's pissed he's undercover ruining the trade. Nice hair, Deeks. Great head shot. Total control, smooth. Love that. She's not even happy about it. She hits him, gave it to the woman in the shower. Oh, yeah. It's a good hit on Keanu Reeves. She really knows how to go for it. Boom. Oh, yeah, Dad, you can definitely throw down the elbow shot. She hit him double fisted, too. I mean, it's tough to defend. Here we go. Oh, dear. E I. Great scream, Great scream. Oh. Oh, she's still going. That's really going in. She got a hit in. She's going to stab. Sure. She's definitely. Oh, jail. Yeah. Now boom. Right. Knows how to do it. You always want to tackle someone right out of window. I sure as hell yeah. Because I watch so many action movies. No one ever gets cut when that happens, right? You don't get cut by glass, right? It's just easy. Now. Now, this is this. This is one of those best examples of something where it's like action movies today never do something like this anymore where it's like, oh, just play with like the simplicity of like the danger of everyday of exactly. And we talk. I feel like this is a theme on this part. We talk about this like the real that realistic violence almost hurts more because, I mean, we can just because now, just now we know like, oh God, like this is so much more riveting than Yeah, like anything else, especially with the clink. Oh, there that goes. I mean, yeah, you really think, oh my God. And he gets close. He gets very close. I mean, they obviously had to CG that blade because it's, it's just too close to him. But one child is like, bigger than Johnny, Utah. You really think that's going to happen? What the hell does Busey say? Oh, he's like losing grip because of that. You're there you go. I Speak it to the mind in the squid brain. I got squid brain. What? Don't look good inside. Is that your child's going away for a long time. Wow. Tough break, but on a bad lawnmower. Chin scrape. But yeah, you really feel that he's having maybe the worst time. Probably wishes he was dead. Don't touch it. I still know those are there. Guys are not. And then Tom Sizemore is going to come break up the party. Oh, so that was like his first his first time being involved in kills. I get favorite targets. So today I forgot about that. That's a nice It's a nice scene to have. Yeah. Cowboys are Sizemore Pure junk crystal meth. Yeah they got like this hair man but it was great. But then again, like, it's pretty hard to do, isn't it? Fort fucking Lauderdale, Don't you? Look, McKinley can never cut him a break. No slack, no attaboys. Such a hard ass. I mean, I guess they are bringing the case into. It's only getting supposed to do. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, shit. That was all for nothing. Yeah. I mean, you got to take out some bad dudes, but that was a day job. What is staging right here? That's a great shot with the black sheets. Yeah, very well. It again. What's my next move? We're not going to do that, Scarface. It is harder than I thought. Oh, man. Shit. Indigo surfing. Definitely. Definitely. Because you see both of us. Yeah, definitely. The microphone or helmet? Yeah. Don't know what I'm talking about. Well, you know, it's a quarterback punk, so I think you have to speak to the microphone line still has great he does this now the movie's going to get a little complicated Just a little bit. Cause, I mean, it gets complicated the next time they show up at the house to go skydiving. But we get a little wind of who knows what, because here it's like the first instance of him putting it together. Like, well, could that be the same as from the video? You know? So it's the same. Then they're going to stake it out. So then the whole question becomes like key. Keanu Reeves knows. I think by the time he's in that stand that, you know, that standoff with Bodie, when he has a gun pointed at him, he knows that's Bodie. So he's figured out. Obviously, the ex-presidents now know that Keanu Reeves is an FBI agent, but they don't know that each other knows that. So that's what keeps the the kind of rift, the grift going a little bit very layered for an action film. Yeah, I love it. You just season this ass and he's like, Oh, yeah, that must be. That's the that's the head. I know. And then he started that ass. I've studied that ass. I look at that as 4 hours look. And it goes, Yeah, I've seen a ghost piece of ass. I've printed that. Sam put it on my wall. I'm like, cubicle. I just love you. Breakfast today? I got to go. I brush my teeth to that as a new client. What is this, A cover for his job? Cover? I forget he said it. I think in the last. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yes. Another like pulling it together. It could be him. Another phone. And this is also very well lit. Nice. Softly. He goes at Patrick's Roadhouse. Patrick. There you go. Yeah. Yeah, I forgot about that. Yeah. Rouge the moon on summer's over. Definitely. And this is on the drinking game. Sometimes they say definitely here are like three or four. Yeah. Oh, that's what it was. I hate that it's bad. In my report. I mean, everything from this hard cut to Busey reading the comic books to I don't know exactly how many minutes it is, but from Keanu Reeves shooting the gun into the air, like from here to shooting the gun into the air, we were about to get one of the best action sequences of the nineties. If not ever. Oh. Oh my God. Car chase into an amazing foot Chase. The foot chase. That's. That's my favorite foot chase. It is. Because, I mean, the cameras back in 1991, maybe shooting in 1990 are bulky, they are big. There are film cameras. You're lugging around a lot of canisters of film. Like, it's not easy to do that. That's why you can't do the chase scenes in like lot of one takes. Like, you can't do that because the cameras are too big. And yeah, this is like one of the best foot chases. It probably is my favorite. Here it comes, the music content, and then by the way, this whole thing is staged like the camera's just going to get you're telling you to do the camera's going to spin around here. This is all one shot. Very careful. Look at these angles are picking. It's going to like pan out. It's going to move out to catch what we need to catch. But I love it. He misses it. I mean, it's just beautiful. Okay. The tuna and we. So you can get the protein. Yeah. Boys a little healthier than peppers. Of course. Perhaps Cynthia is reading this fucking Calvin and Hobbes 784 for that. For the three sandwiches and two drinks. Just got, like, 30 bucks in L.A.. No, it's probably more. Yeah, Yeah. Road have. It's great. It's so unsatisfying that he goes to take a bite, but then they come. They don't even give him a full bite. The writer goes. There it is. Oh, yeah. So now they're all figuring this out. They're like, Oh, well, yeah, the boy is a damn FBI agent trying to track us. Just open fire and. Yeah, open fire, right? Yeah, totally fine. Totally aboveboard. You guys. I love this. He's like, Come on, hurry up. He's like, I go, God got David. Babs is a great person to be driving. I know. Isn't so angry about it. They pull up next to a party like we got here. We got you. Hubcap falls off. Nice touch. So they're playing off. I don't fucking believe Utah is a cop. Like this is nuts. And those the room. I mean, this is even this car chase is so well done. They go to the damn parking garage and they're, like, parallel with each other. Yeah. Where is he, Dick? They're still calling each other. The president says, Well, what? Yeah. Oh, I love this part. When we're, like, parallel with them. Do you see him? Oh, it's so fucking exciting. No, not out like that. And so I'm so all one shot here. Well, the longer you stay like this is a trick. Like, the longer you stay on the shot, the more interesting it is. Yeah. Because it puts us more in other that we got you good shit. It puts us more in there. It keeps the realism of it. Like, Oh, yeah, it's one of the, one of the reasons why it's works so well is because all the shots are held for so long and it's not like cutting, cutting, kind of cutting, cutting. Great run. Yeah, he can run. He can run. Yeah, it's a good run. Especially like it ain't easy to run holding a gun or holster in the. Yeah. I mean, it was, you know, it, it don't do man. No. Be dumb. We go it tosses this poor guy like squeezing his windshield. Not even this guy just tried this guy. This guy gets a poor dude. Don't do a man or be dumb. Run off. Poor dude, man. You don't make a lot of money and you get Keanu coming up with the oh, coming up through the flames. I mean, this is just this is an amazing shot. Another great use of slo mo. We're going to slow it down through the Reagan mass, through the flames. That's like, fucking perfect. It's just so cool. It's just crazy, crazy imagery. Got to get rid of the car. Drop car. I mean, haven't we all at one point, Here it comes. Well, flames. I love. Nice touch. That is a coke that is on fire. Yeah. Yep. Can both them do. Yeah. And they got to take off. They got to leave him. Oh I know. He's on fucking fire. Fighting stopped up and roll now he just does with his hand. He's a badass. If we go now, the music in and we go, we're on a chase. Yeah, they're both amazing runners, and this is just a insanely good scene. Through the alleyways into the house is day where you get the dog. The dog is the best thing ever there is throw a dog at somebody and that's going to stop at least a little bit. It will make a difference. It will. I look, I don't know. He's like laying in wait for him to break it again when he goes in there, throw this fucking dog in. It's almost like a little parkour. Like, you can't stop moving. You just have to keep going. Oh, go, go, Parkour. But it feels so the sequence feels so lived in, like they're having to run through, like, real shit. Real obstacles. Yeah. Hit with, like, the vet gets it with a vacuum cleaner or something off. Beat her first hurdle nicely. Yeah. Oh, down. And what a lot of foot chase scenes get wrong. It's like you they the person doing the chase doesn't know like where the first person went and they go guess and like, find them here. You can always see a little bit of him. I think that's really important. That's great. Like Sam Shepard's isn't true as the first guy doesn't know where he's going, the second guy doesn't know where their guy's taking them. Yeah, I mean, very true. This is cool. We almost, like, go up over and then, you know, now we're. And then we just cut so great. I love that little move to look at this like, this is really fucking hard. Do this is smart too, because he he sees him lock it. That's why he breaks it. So it's boom. Oh, boom. Get the fuck out of this house. Yeah. They're such very cheap. Oh, my God. Yeah, I mean, they could, but, I mean, hey, you got to do it. But, I mean, can you imagine not knowing the dogs suck? It will just on you, like. Oh, shit. No. Here goes. Knee injury comes screaming back. Oh, God, that's such a dangerous I love. Yeah, the sound sounded like his shoes squeaking his his like scream here that he lets out when he injured his knee. That's so realistic. Oh, God. You can just feel this. Ow, ow, ow, ow! The stand off. Can't watch over the barbed wire, Can't take out his friend. Hey, now he knows He sees him. It's like they both know it. They just haven't communicated it yet. And, you know, Swazi still doesn't know that Keanu Reeves officially knows. You know, it doesn't. They're not aware that he has all the intel on them, which is why they maintain it's like skydiving ruse. I love how Shaun of the Dead made that even more of an iconic sequence for the shooting of the air. Yeah, yeah, I remember that. But it's actually it's a great callback to the knees out of commission. You did this in my office. Maybe I don't give enough attention to Gary Busey's wardrobe, and Smoove is just perfect for this guy. Like, I don't even know what kind of shirts you'd call those. They're not Hawaiian. Certainly, But they work. They are tailor made, custom made for. Oh, yeah? Well, his office is right outside. Yeah, I mean, I love it. People say that in my office that it's like a bathroom or something. He goes, you got hammered, you get snaps at him. Love it. Yeah. That radiating good to you. The Cameron shit BBA love that. Go home television, right? Yeah. No, I took her a little bit to go through stuff. She she was trusting, you know? Oh yeah. Because that manipulation, it had parents that terrible. That's some shared trauma that that'll get you very far. But you know, few dates are sleeping over and she's like, I don't know. I don't believe this hit and run story dead parents I by Yeah run around don't know fishy I'm going to go through a shit also bro why do you have like your fucking badge just like around Because that manipulation, all that thought to admit that you emotionally manipulated her into sexual congress. Yeah, I think right. He's like, that was a mistake. I shouldn't have done that. And he wants to come clean, but he just can't say what I think. Tory, it's okay. Yeah. Very kind of cliched kind of nineties women response. I mean, in 2000, you know, that's just starting to change. Thank God she goes for two, though. She does that. She fires that warning around in the pillow. The thing, you know I love it, Rosie, those are incredible numbers Lead turds in his Rosie. Yeah, really famous actor. I mean, God, even a weird science is generation kill. It was Terry and Wayne's World. And Wayne's World. Yeah, that's right. Yeah. Right. So he's I mean, he's been around that this is like the hardest role he ever played. I love you, man. I know. Yeah. No, I love you, too. Okay. Okay. Just say thank you. Thank you, Thank you. No, you don't. You don't. Yeah. Life. I love this. Just build them all up. We can take this funk down. Also, keep in mind that, like Suozzi used to date Laurie, Patti's character, and he's just going to offer her up on a platter to be this hostage. She gets. She catches a bad break. Well, I mean, he's gotten everything he needs from her. I know. That's what I mean. They're just like, using her. It's not nice to her. Here we go. Nice. It's a warning shot. This is like no bullshit. Oh, man. But I'm saying man used to have, like, a safe around her, like, need to keep this shit secured. She found a gun to. She should not be able to find your gun. She should have taken a shot. She says. I mean, he's got his iPad. Yeah. Feathers in the air. Really nice touch. Yeah. Double down, double down. Say yes. Now he's caught. He does not have a lot of weight on those dumbbells behind him. There is like £10 on each side. Utah needs a bulk of you. Don't you have a soul? I mean, it's. It's fair. So she'd be like, I feel like if I'm going to shoot someone, I'm just going. I'm going to put on some clothes. Yeah. She couldn't wait for all that, though. She had a fight. Once she found the gun, the badge and the badge, clothes were on her mind. There it comes. It is probably the best acting moment movie. Yeah. Yeah. Good kisser. All right, now they're going to show up. Yeah. And ain't Tyler bloody great stage in there with all of them in the frame? Yep. But this is always like a fun seat. Like, if you show this movie to someone who's never seen it, you can see them kind of doing the math, but like. Like, Wait, don't. Don't they know that? They know? Yeah. And then. And then it's fun to kind of go, well, Swayze, he doesn't officially know that. He knows, you know, that whole thing. It's just great hokey. Want to do this to you one day? I'm just going to, like, show up at your house, get you out of bed and take your fucking skydiving. Oh, choice no choice. I mean, that's pretty much that would probably be like skydiving would probably be the scariest thing that I could ever do. I only got it for me for Christmas, for you a few years ago. And then it happen. So I still have my certificate. I'm fucking gone. So yeah, my gift certificate. My dad's on it. He loved it. I Yeah, because, like, I guess I even, like, you know, like flying in a plane is like, is my biggest fears. Dying in a plane crash, saving, dying versus the crash and part it but so too. So to skydive would be like a huge huge might help you. It might. I doubt it. Immersion therapy. Well, you know, you don't really jump out of the plane your first several times. You're going to be doing a scandal with someone. Oh, yeah. I didn't have it in there with men on your back. But I've always I remember it was my 30th birthday and I that was my goal was I wanted to go skydiving on my 30th. There's always time. It's very safe, if any skydiving place had an issue like ever, the place wouldn't exist, you know? So it's very, very safe as someone who's never done it. Yes. Oh, I hear. Tremendous thing. Yeah, well, never mind. It's a little too personal for what? My dad want to do it. You understand why? Maybe. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. I love this. They change up all the bags, and then he just ends up with the same one. We're going to jerk off. Or Jim, I think the most unrealistic thing about the skydiving scenes are the people who don't wear, like, goggles, because I don't think the glasses would hold. And I think your eyes get dry shit. Other than that, everything's so realistic. The fact that they fall for like 5 minutes, it should never happen and trigger. Yes, that's my man. I mean, this scene is responsible for like, I've been fascinated with skydiving. I just think, Oh, yeah, awesome. I love that line. Oh, there he goes. That's really him. That is absolutely him. When I do actually skydive, which will be sooner rather than later, you better believe that at some point I'll clear this with my jumper first. The ten guys, I'm going to be like some point during this fall. I'm going to yell Amazing, fucking amazing at the top of my lungs. And he's probably going to look at me, he or she, and go, Everyone knows him. And yeah, no, seriously. So the close ups obviously are they're just like on a wind turbine. But yeah, that is this way. It's like doing that's like in a wind turbine. Yeah. Like over a parking lot or something. And this is over like Utah, I believe is where they shot this. Oh, man. I mean, it's just, I mean, it's just the music is absolutely perfect. It cuts together well, too. Like you can't. You can be, you know, critical and be like Marciano's coverage. It doesn't look like the same, but it actually kind of you know, it's it's a 90% dimension with other ones like, Well, because they're not using CGI like those guys were just on a like a wind turbine. Maybe I'm not using the right term, but, you know, you can do that indoor skydiving. Yeah. It's essentially that you can you can manufacture. Yeah, but they're just like five feet off the ground with a bunch of pads around them in these shots, in this coverage. I don't know. It still works. Oh no, it totally works. Like I never once said, Oh, it's so cool. God, I love that. I mean, that's a real shot to that, actually. Like, like so obviously, clearly, like some of these guys. Some yeah, some people are out there, actually. But I mean, if all of these guys if they did it 55 times like, well, I don't know if everyone did. I think the number I heard four ways of doing that that could have been prep as well. Training. I don't know if it was all for this movie in particular, The circle coming together. So cool. So something like fucking point break skydiving thing. Unlike Reddit, it's a while ago now, but their own people, you jumped. It's like a skydiving team and one guy accidentally clips another guy like while they're falling, falling and knocks him unconscious. So the dude is freefalling unconscious and. Someone's got a camera on their head and he, like, fucking zooms over and like, basically has to pull his chute form, but it's crazy. And the dude to hit him obviously didn't mean to they just didn't see each other. Yeah, but connected heads and then, yeah, I mean, he's just floating in the air, not going to pull the chute. It was, it was really a crazy it's like something out of this movie. But I can think of it like this. So, like it's sort of because, like, when they connect, like it's so satisfying. Oh, yeah. And then you see them separate. Look at this kind of music. It's just perfect. One dude's got flippers all exhaust related to water. That is here, here comes iconic line. How do you feel? I mean, yes, that's a great shot. You know, people are dead, dirty banks are down. Who cares, though? No, the dives right now diving in this guy's head. This is this is like you never get the spiritual nature of it. Thousand feet. Oh, always. There it is. It's there it is right there. Never gets old meme forever. Yeah. Thousand feet pool. It's so everything's a competition. I mean, you got to think about this day, though. This dude is woken up out of bed like something's coming up immediately thrown into a plane, skydive for the first time in his life and find out his girlfriend's being held hostage. Now he's to find out he has participate in a bank robbery and his partner is going to die, and then he has to fucking skydive again. That's a hell of a day. Yeah, I think he does it all before noon. Yeah, All before noon. Yeah. Son of a bitch. But look how hard like this is. A nice touch that they land first. Obviously, he lands first hard, because, I mean, shout out first. Yeah. And then he wins. You couldn't pull your chute that soon and no, you bury his legs like you were one radical son of a bitch. Oof! Yeah, it's still one. Feel good on the knee I wouldn't think are the hip more. You know what I mean? He's got that busted knee. You know. Oh, yeah, that's him. Johnny tells me. Is out. I don't know why. This has nothing to do with anything, but I just love the. They included the the attention to detail of one of the dudes very calmly and kindly explaining to Utah how he to get out of his parachute. He's like you to step out and look. Take another step. I don't know why. Like, he just so to him, I just love those little details. Yeah. So ineffable. Wow. This is an insurance policy. This. I don't know. I just loved it. Yeah. No, no, this, like, ancient TV thing. Whatever. This is supposed to be remote TV thing. Now, this will be on a phone. He'd take hours. Oh, yeah. Phones up in here. I need you to watch this. I know he pulls at this. Yeah, I know. I love it. That's what I thought you were asking me earlier. Like, when could this work? And this movie couldn't work at all in their air of social media and just looking stuff up, and, you know, it would all be about technology. I kind of refuse that kind of I refuse to watch the remake. I never have it. You know, it's if there's just certain things that you just you can't beat what Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze bring to yeah you can't beat the nineties feeling the era that that it's like the crow I always feel the same way. It's like there's something that is specific about the nineties. Yeah that that unless you're going back in time and you're recreating it right But if you're doing it in 2000. Yeah exactly. Yeah. Yeah. That feels like like Henry Portrait of a serial killer a little bit. This like footage movie came out a few years earlier. Have you ever actually seen that? Oh, yeah. Yeah. No, I know. I didn't know if you. I forgot if you had. Actually seen it, but that whole, that like invasion they do. Mm. I love this. It's been a great hold to. So let me talk. Oh he goes we're wasting time. That's what I love about you, John. Yeah. I mean talk the language he uses to describe the situation like I hate violence. Yeah. You know, Rosie is an animal. I can never hurt her. I can never hurt her. She really. It will sting. Yeah. Form to the throat. Tough side of the neck. I believe that. Yeah, I really do. Yeah. Like, I really believe it. I love this line to a shared time. We share it. Time. I love that. It's the simple explanation. The mechanism. Yeah. Great little line. No terrified scream or waste time. There is. Yeah. There. It got so good. You know, my good friends Taylor and Brant, who are like my best friend and stuff. This is like a movie I share with both of them, so I've been thinking of them a lot. We watch snow. I mean, they'll probably be listening to this, so no joke, just a nice, wholesome shout out. People may remember Taylor from our mailbag episode he had as a really angry question. Oh, yeah, He was really on the line of I refer to him as old. In another episode, he texted me, He's like, You just call me old. I'm an FBI agent. I love Sweasy clears the shotgun before he gives it to him though, to see the great. Hmm. No mess for you, buddy. Yep. Yeah, it's great detail. Clearing it there is great line in there. While. And then once you're in the bank, it's just I, you know, it's really tense. Yeah. In the real car going. So like, Oh, it's so good to back me up 90 seconds since he gets greedy, goes for the safe, goes for the vault. Big mistake. Yeah. Well, I don't know if that's really true, but, you know, she found out this lie. They everybody and we haven't, they haven't communicated since. Yeah, but, you know, she's probably. She's good. Maybe she's probably just worried about staying alive right now. Yes. True priorities. I'm just saying she's had a tough couple days, so, like she has she. Oh, sorry. I would've been great if you pulled out like a President Taft mask. Yeah, They call big that. I get more laugh. Are you from that one? That's good. That's good. It was good. It's fine. I was trying to think of someone 1991. I don't know. Rock n roll. Oh, I love that. The blue screen. Yeah, the blue screen. Everyone just looks at them like, why doesn't this dude have a mask on? Oh. Oh, Tough. Yeah. You've seen too much time. I like how the guys he sends to the vault to the safer. Like, what the fuck are we doing? Like, they're not ready for this either. And it. And it's great, too. Because when we when you cut to that shot of Keanu, when he's not wearing the mask, it does not feel like you're like that guy. You're like, Oh yeah. Like, what is this? Like, why is this? It's so out of place. But you know, there's no fat in this movie. Like everything it's led us to. We didn't see too many bank robberies. Now that we know how they operate, it's fun to actually be in here for a full one. And the violence in this scene is really effective too. Just like the gunshot in the way the motion when he takes off his mask. I love that. Great. You want me to open it? Yeah. Mistake. Who's you want me to do it? Do they say what a coward. He wouldn't even know. I know. I know how you do it. What a coward. You're the manager. You paid the big bucks to have the gun in. Your face, Dick. I would be like, Listen, I don't. We're going to roll this kind of pressure, be supportive, and I can get it. I can open the door for you. First time for me, fellas. Come on. First robbery. I love this bad idea, you know. Well, and then this. Like, undercover, off duty guy on the ground is so believable. Yeah, I see him there in the background a little bit there watching. And then the real. The guy on duty in uniform, like, I don't care. I don't do anything Nice touch with, like, the reflection of the floor. Yeah. So I think you should back up. And I was like, No, it's like time times. The security guard. Yeah. Two against five is. It's a big deal. Two pistols. I don't know. You don't have to. This is a guy with something to prove. Yeah. You know he's not going to make it. No way. This guy doesn't even want to, man. He doesn't want to be back up. Oh. Oh, good thing he's wearing the vest. Security guards badge, and we're all toast. Oof! Oh, yeah, yeah. In the neck. No. Oh, in the neck. Tough. This one. This is so off duty call. Oh, God, I love that change in the cliff. So good. It's got to be his first kill, I think. Bodies? Yeah. First time he's ever taking a life. You sound kind of contemplate that great acting here on. Yeah, Best call it her like shit, you know, but it fucking over I gave. He's just a range at this point. His final fuck you to John, Utah like a punch pistol with It's just perfect. Oh, I love the look that kind of gets to. It's like the camera's running past them. Yeah, they're both like, Yeah. Stare down the both of them. Yeah, don't make it. And the great little, like, moan thing he does here, like a frustration sways you. I mean, yeah. The it's like his brother. Oh, I love that grunt. Yeah, man. It's so you like you don't take the Volt, you know, it's actually I'm not saying that it's a it's, it wasn't like the reaction you just had for that. But if you're talking technical wise, you need to get like, get across something. Just put your head down and grunt. Yeah, exactly. That's all the frustration you need. Yeah, but those are going to say I'm really sad by this. Yeah. Oh, that's too nice little. White flash. I think that happened when he got hit by the war child crew early on. Is that little flashlight. Oh, that out of focus POV a waste of time. Oh, God. Mean, this dude enters every scene so we talk about what you bring to do is what you worked out before head. Oh, God. Oh, God damn! What the fuck's going on in here? Come on. All right. I in like a punk. Let me take in respect from elders. Yes, like. Like I feel like his motivation for every single scene is like you just did, like a bunch of steroids right before you came in. Something. Yeah, you did a bunch something. Yeah. You were, like, worked up, Fuck up. Never satisfied. Oh, there you go. The better. Let's look when you astonish me. Shit brain shit. God love him. I love this. I want you start shit brain. Think that's what it is? Shit. Boom. Great respect for your elder. I mean, he would have to pay for that one if he wasn't about to die. You know, you have to atone for that. You can't just punch out of Captain with that. Oh, yeah, That's not going it. It's not going to fly. But really, it's not going to matter for him. Yeah, it's not. That's what I mean. Because he's about to fucking. Yeah. And which we get one of like a great no scream from piano after it goes on for like a long time. He's upset. Pervis got to get my girl back. PERVIS And I'm telling you, man, he's got her fucking God. There's only one who knows I love. I mean, just the whole staging. It's. But you're not alone. It's a good run. Oh, yeah. It's fast for him. For an older dude, for an elder. Respect for my elders. I feel like in a different life, this. This guy is with him is like a young, young surge tank in lead singer system of the down. Oh, yeah. You don't know what he looks like so I can see her as inputs now. Okay, sounds good. There's moon, you know, alone. If it was Ryan around, he would taken off his whole entire shirt. Yeah, I mean, deservedly so. Right. So I thought that, like, I wonder what is hiding under that bulletproof vest? Looks like a huge fucking shotgun. How subtle. Tell me where she is, man. Poor Pervis. You got to have a hero go down, though. You know the ride is over. People trust you. I think. Yeah, but he's this man only thing on his mind. He just wants to get to Australia for. That's right. I love this. Nathaniel, get in there. Oh, here's Roach, Cowboy. Yeah. Yeah. Terrible. Great little standoff. Shit happens. I mean, he really must love her. Yeah, he doesn't even let Pappas kill him, I think. Oh, God. God damn it. Yeah. Get out of the way, kid. Good Hit. Don't. Good. Good work. He's almost in the clear and then sees it. Get his back. Oh, I know, Angelo. Oh, yeah, I. Terrible. Oh, it has to go down. Is one of my most frustrating deaths. Great. Now. Yeah. Great. Great screen. Great off screen. Because it probably wouldn't look great on screen. Not to add too much. Too long. Too much? Yeah. You just got your partner killed. Yeah. Yes, that's a fact. I'm not really sure how Tyler's going to feel about you guys. Haven't talked about, like, the lying. I don't know. But it is going to save her. A lot of people die to get her back, though. You know, Rose before Holzman, she's a nice, slow, subtle way to go out. No words, you know, honorable death, No, man. Cool the line of your cold because the blood is leaving your body. Yeah, It's going to be dead soon. I just love that little throne in a little knowledge, little truth knowledge. You know that playing good. Tell him where we're going yet. Get on that. Yeah, man. What a conundrum. Takes a hell of a man to jump out of a out of a plane with no parachute. Yeah, it's certain. No, like goggles, you know? Yeah, Yeah. Just got the gun. I love Swayze's reaction. You're crazy big crazy, but, yeah, this is the next jumper that we're going to see when squeeze it. So is the audio's, amigo. That's just him jumping out. There's no cut. There's no CGI. That is a world famous actor going for a jump. Yeah, and that's one of the things that makes a movie so basic. You could just never see that today. I can't imagine any actor doing that. Cruz Do it. CRUZ Better film. Movie in fucking space. Yeah. Cruz, Cruz, you do it. You're a goddamn righty. What? And he has I mean that in Fallout. Yeah, like, he absolutely would. Absolutely. He is the only one that I can think of. Guillermo in the long who? Oh, he's really selling it to those, like, you know, the blood loss. Oh, yeah. He's fucked up. The fuck are you looking at? Yeah, Just the simple medical explanation of why you're cold and what that's going to lead to. Oh, he's like that in movies scene. Hell, John's like, Yeah, yeah. I mean, he basically just dies in the air. Yeah. Because I think his shoot is out on the ground, so maybe he had enough time to pull it. But yeah, I think, you know, they gave him all the money to, all to, I think. Yes. Great. This is great. Yeah. Yeah. It's a way to, you know, write off medical side. Yes. Sydney readings and margaritas. Yeah. That's great. It's. Oh, I know you want me so bad, you can just taste it. It's like acid in your mouth is like that's like you are be right. But you feel like the deaths, the body is gone through. Like it's all playing on him, You know, like it hasn't been easy for me to. I hate violence. Like, know. Yeah. Yeah. You have some like a wife. You shoot fails. She says you got some gorgeousness jumping out of a plane. No shoot that we were people were to die today. Brody pissed punch in the plane See in hell Johnny. Yeah, Yeah. Punches him right out. Oh, Jesus Christ. Look at this. Push button. Pushes him out. I just see. Will he be okay? I don't know. Yep. Didn't get your man Leaves the gun. Oh, this is perfect this shot right here. Oh, yeah. This is perfect. It's perfect. No, man, I'd be terrified right now to miss it. Oh, no, no. You should get going all the more. You strapped in? Hell, yeah, for sure. Fuck, yeah. Yeah. There you go. My God, it's perfect. Oh, yeah, It's on its second dive. Ever. Ever. Yeah. And it's first was, like, 3 hours ago, but, yeah, he could catch up to him. That that was a moment in the cemetery where everyone just cheered. Oh, yeah. When he jumps out. So that scares you. Swayze's react. Swayze's reaction is what makes it so great. They're like, You're crazy. No goggles. No, you wouldn't be able to see shit. Got to drop the gun and ever would throw off the way to the extent would you? Crazy. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Drop the gun virus. Get. Hold on. You doesn't give a shit. Best line ever when they land. You are one radical son of a bitch. I actually don't think realistically someone would be able to hold on because of all the wind. You know, that like, takes you up. I don't think someone, unless he was strapped in, would actually able to like. Hold on. Yeah, of course. Yeah, exactly. Well, let's look at a reason to say that. Yeah, exactly. I think everything in point break is 100% accurate, but this should. I mean, it's a wonder he can ever walk again because it's like double knee injury and. Oh, yeah, a couple days. This is even a worse fall than the other. Oh, hell, yeah. We're not going to land. Land. Oh, I mean, his knee has not even remotely healed since he fell into that river. Yeah, Roach is toast, but he did pull the chute, so. Yeah, he was around enough for that. Down, thrown around. This is great. The laugh. Son of a bitch. They're kissing. Are there you think so? Oh, yeah, I don't think so. I mean, plot twist, but I didn't know. Oh, I would take that 50 year storm with you. All right. I wish I knew how to quit. You know, I love that. Is this best? Let it go. Yeah. I think his knee would be just. Oh, it'd be. They both wouldn't be able to walk. But, I mean, they're two ultimate men. Yeah. How about here? That knee again? Oh, now, now. Okay. That I was. It's over a week. So here's a little avenue to go down at the movie. Serves us. Can you tell us about the catch up boaty here in Australia. You know I've been to every city in Mexico. Miss you about a week in Fiji. Dejounte, you told us like retire from the FBI after this because he's not working for the FBI. If he's just chasing one dude around. I just love that citizen's arrest, man. Yeah, but how does he get the time to like, I mean, I know he works for the FBI because he has his badge, but how does he find the time to keep chasing around one dude isn't his captain. Maybe it's not hard anymore, but not. They're like, Hey, you have other cases when you get to, like, the sugar maze Garcia through. But I'm asking, how does he find the time if he has all this other case work? You know what I mean? Because you can't just work one case at a time. Maybe they let him off duty. Yeah, I mean, that's what I'm saying. Like, maybe he takes vacation time. Every city in Mexico is going hard. He's like, No, I got to go to Fiji like a whole fucking week. You guys keep going with that. He gets hurt. It's like a misdemeanor. What they argue is they got Give it. I gave you this time off. This is what you did. You came back six weeks ago. Now you're saying Fiji. I'm go to the fucking 50 year store. Did you take it the rest of your vacation. This takes the cake, Utah. This takes the fucking cake. When you come back, you better bring me a case or you're out of here. Or you're out of here. He's not coming back. It's hard. I heard he's going to be in Baja. You got to get me down there. I got to go down, you know, go road fucking duty. Take a date. Go. Don't do that. I Just guy. If we catch him, we get a guy who's responsible for a bunch of murders. All these bank robbers. I don't give you. This town's about to be hit by fucking riots. Yeah. Oh, so we need you here for that. Yeah, that's true. That did happen. That's true. That's totally one in a shit. Jesus Christ. Well, I can't remember now. We talked about this on some podcast that they were filming a movie like right across the street when that happened and all the cop car showed up. Oh, I don't remember. Yeah, I. For what it was two long hair. Yep. First scene in the movie. Is this what they shot first? I mean, how do you know that? Because they cut the hair afterwards. Do you know this for fact or you're speculating? This sounds like an incredible assumption. Wow. Thank. Thank you. Oh, you're going to really throw that in my face. Fake rain. You can. Well, I mean, I would just assume come on. I thought it was something like they shot it kind of way after in I think Swayze. He had shorter hair by now and he had longer hair or something like that, I think. Or it could have been first. You know, I McDaniel went back to longer hair so. Yeah. But you think whichever they did first, one of them had to grow their hair out. Yes. Swayze's is, you know, short hair. Yeah, sure. So I love throwing down the mask. And that's what he sees. Is that a fucking dog? Did someone bring a dog out there? That was sick, sir. That was like a white dog. No waves. Oh, man, this is just crazy. This is great. They actually sent someone out there to, like, try to catch this wave. He couldn't. And that's what they got. He's like, I'll go once and do it. So it's that final shot like, Oh, go once and try, but if I have to bail, I'm going to bail. Like, I'm not going to die. Patrick Swayze. No, no, no, it wasn't. So it was like a professional wave surfer dude. But because, you know, he doesn't catch he doesn't successfully catch the wave and, you know, he falls off, which is kind of a bummer. Yeah. Because, I mean, I think he literally was only going to do it once. Special Agent Utah. Yes, he is Arizona. Sure. All right. So I guess it would have to be the other way around. It was one of the other I mean, I remember them just hearing that. I love that something, brah, said to my friends a lot for friends. Yeah. Every city, every one of them. All of Mexico turned out to be Rosie. I love that we from Mexico to Fiji. Oh, sorry about Sumatra. Yeah. Heart wouldn't give me time off. Yeah, I got fired for this one. Just waiting for my set. I think it's a very satisfying ending. I don't need to sarkodie. I don't know. I like it went from us. It. There's two things about the upcoming scene when he starts to. You know, when Reeves picks like a physical confrontation to fight with swears he just kind of goes, Come on like, are you serious? It's so. It's so great. And then the desperation in his voice like, let me go. Just let me get one. You really believe it? I'm going to battle New Zealand every day. You'll serve and then you find time to do that if you've been to every city in Mexico. All right. I could find Bodie, but I got to get my waves in. The Fiji. Waves are fucking nuts. I wasn't a fan. Yeah, you got to go down that go. And yet we're really going to do this. It reminds me of how unfazed Matthew McConaughey is when he beats Woody Harrelson death and True Detective. He's like, All right, come on. It's a very even fight. But yeah, if you are even if he drowns you under these waves, if he's handcuffed to you, you ain't going no way. Not going to battle New Zealand artists of that moment. Oh, oh, I don't know if you would have been able to bring his foot up to. I don't know if it would have hurt that bad. Now, those boots are like heavy with the water. Oh, those would hurt non-essentials. Tuxedo. What is that, The Canadian tuxedo? Oh, is that jean jacket? Jean Jacket and denim jeans. Oh, okay. Is that a slur? Are we going to get canceled back in? Oh, that's. I think it's a Canadian tuxedo. I mean, if he really wanted to be doing it, to be wearing a denim shirt. But I mean, you're wearing a denim jacket and denim pants. You're you're in a Canadian tuxedo. All right. Good for them. Fitting for Australia. I think it's fitting for today. It's back nineties are back in a big way. I want to say Rest in peace, Patrick Swayze, who was a tough loss. I always really loved him. And when he left us it was just tough. He was one of my favorites of my childhood. You know, I always loved him. The ultimate man. Oh, this is great. Great reveal. No, this is like the most intense, fierce acting he does in the movie. You go quietly. BUCHANAN When he comes back, you know. Yeah. Let him go down in the ocean. LENNON Pay the ultimate price. Geez, look at that crazy thing at the table. The person who's, like, inspired by that and who's waited their whole life for this ride that's going to kill them. All right? You win. You know that? Yeah. It's like he's fine. Let him go and die on the waves. You know, it's fine. He doesn't want to put in a cage. I love reasoning with him. He's letting go anger and just trying to reason with emotion. I got to rattle him. I'd let him go. Oh, hell, yeah, I would, too. Because, you know he's going to die. Yeah, So. And I guess it is a good point. Like, where is he going to go? Yeah, he's either going to if he comes back in. I'm sorry, guys. Didn't get it. All right? So, like, you let him go, you know? I mean, he lets him go to die. Great. Final line to It's Piano's finest moment in the film. And it's an actor's bio candy. Yes. Comes out of nowhere like it, you know, Spanish hasn't really been established from Johnny, Utah just now. It's I mean, we're not in Mexico or Baja or anything like that. You know, we're perfect for the industry. Australia? Yeah, for the setting respect. Yeah, it is. Adios. Fucking. Hey, we'll get him when he comes back. Is he not coming back? Throw the badger away in the legacy hands there. I know what he can do the rest of his life. Like look at the ones he skips. Like one can be huge, perfect ending to a perfect film. One of them has to die. Okay, so as you with Tyler, are they still together? I mean, the obsession may have become a factor in their relationship. I mean, yeah, relationships based off intense things and. Oh, yes, don't last. We learned that from speed. Yeah, they're. He's not coming back. Oh, man. Yeah. Tyler, I think Tyler can take it. She's like a vacuum in your life. You're just chasing this dude. So really, he had an eight, so he switched names and then boom. And then went right into becoming a cop again for Speed Switch Cities with San Francisco Drive-Ins. No, Speed is in Los Angeles. The city you live in. Yes, it is. Yeah. Good try. Jesus Christ. It's very sure it's all true. Cue the nineties music. Mm hmm. Great Kathryn Bigelow film. It's my favorite film from her. I mean, I know she's made more prestigious movies. First woman to win an Oscar for best directing Love, Zero Dark 30, Nothing tops. Point break. I just think it's phenomenal. That was so much fun. It was just so good, so much fun. Oh, Swazi top billing. Well, yeah, he would have been probably the bigger star. I fucking love that movie so much. Oh. Oh, God. Yeah. That was so much fun. That was just a blast. This one was for it, you know, to be fun. And we had a really good time with it. Yeah, that was amazing to see. Anele Johnny, what do you say? By a kind of icon diaspora? Hey, it's Alex in real time. That was fun. Oh, my God. We had so much fun watching that movie. We definitely got caught just watching it a few times. But I don't know. You can't really blame us. It's point Break. That movie I was trying to think of, not to circle back to a rough topic, but the movie I was trying to think of that, they were filming while the Rodney King beating was taking place was the biker bar scene in Terminator two. I heard that on James Cameron's commentary fraternity or two, and I was like, Holy shit, It was. Apparently it was just going on like pretty close across the street while they were filming that. That's Wow. Oh, a little more about foot chase scene from Point Break. In this commentary, I said, you know, I had no idea how they filmed that. Guess cameras were so big. Did a little research and Kathryn Bigelow said they created a hand-held 35 millimeter camera called the Pogo Cam. It weighed about £18 and it had a gyro stabilizer. But still £18 is no joke to run around like that. I just God, I love that scene. And they did not kick a dog. No dogs were kicked. There's a cut there. And he kicks a you know, a dummy dog. And that is not so easy running in that scene either. What else? What else?
